Photographer Sally Gall Lecture

Coalition of Photographic Arts to Host Internationally Renowned
Photographer Sally Gall

Wisconsin's fastest growing arts organization, the Coalition of
Photographic Arts (CoPA) is proud to present "An Evening with Sally
Gall" October 24, 2005 at the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design
(273 E. Erie St., in Milwaukee's historic Third Ward). This
exciting lecture is open to the public and begins at 7pm, followed
by a question & answer period and book signing. Please join us as
we welcome this international talent to Milwaukee.

Gall is an award winning artist who has been taking photographs for
over 25 years. Her work is on display in museum collections around
the world. She is well known for her body of work titled
Subterranea. With only a flashlight and her camera, she has captured
the natural underworld in a manner that that is not only provocative
and startling but also exceptionally beautiful. Now Gall is
embarking in a new direction. Come listen to her lecture, and be one
of the first to see her new body of work.

The Coalition of Photographic Arts (CoPA) is designed to develop
appreciation, promote growth, and support the creation of fine art
photography in the Greater Milwaukee region. CoPA's goal is to
cultivate awareness of contemporary photography through educational
programs, lectures, panel discussions, and exhibitions. The
organization aims to be the primary resource for fine art
photography information in the Milwaukee area. CoPA's website
features information about general photography news and events,
profiles of member photographers, a listing of photography exhibits
currently on display, and resources for members. Connections within
the photographic community are fostered through monthly member
meetings and yearly exhibitions. Members include artists, students,
professionals, amateurs, enthusiasts, and collectors.
